2025 Festive Fun - Family Reading Workshop

Based on the 24 solar terms of the traditional Chinese calendar, the event introduces festival culture and customs. Through stories, short talks and creative crafts, participants can understand the significance of festivals in daily life and appreciate the connotation of Chinese culture.

July's Theme: Twenty-four solar terms - Lesser Heat, Greater Heat

August's Theme: Twenty-four solar terms - Beginning of Autumn, End of Heat

Notes:

  • The results of the ballot will be announced on the website and Facebook page of the Public Library of Cultural Affairs Bureau. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation SMS; those who are not selected will not receive SMS notifications.
  • Due to limited quotas, each applicant may only register for one activity of the same theme.
  • For those who are unable to attend the activity after registration, please inform the library staff two days prior to the activity. Accumulated absence of 2 times without reasons will result in a 3-month suspension of eligibility for participation in activities.
  • Registered applicants are required to arrive on time. Those who are late by 10 minutes or more will automatically forfeit their right to participate in the activity.
  • During the activity, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will arrange for staff to take photographs and videos to document the activity for archival and evaluation purposes. Some of these photographic and video records may be used to promote similar activities in the future without further notice.
  • Special arrangements in inclement weather: If tropical cyclone warning signal no. 3 or yellow rainstorm warning signal is hoisted 3 hours before the activity, all outdoor activities will be cancelled, while all indoor activities (including children, parent-child and adult activities) will proceed as usual; if the red rainstorm warning signal is hoisted, all outdoor activities and children and parent-child indoor activities will be cancelled, while adult indoor activities will proceed as usual; if tropical cyclone signal no. 8 or above, or black rainstorm warning signal is hoisted, all activities will be cancelled.
  • The personal data provided by applicants will be used solely for the purpose of this activity and will be processed in accordance with Law No. 8/2005 “Personal Data Protection Act”.

 

The Cultural Affairs Bureau reserves the right of final interpretation and decision regarding this activity.
