Time, which elapses quickly, is a luxury good, and nobody can time-travel backwards. 2017 past by in the blink of an eye. As we are anticipating the new year of 2018, this issue of "Books and the City" will discuss with you the extended topic of the reading time at the library.
For people who love reading, time carries multiple definitions. For example, busy people have to fully utilise fragments of time to read, for those who want to free up their hands or even multitask, they listen to audio books while doing other things at the same time. As for those who want to make use of the whole reading time quietly, it is best for them to go to a public library at their convenience, select their favourite book and enjoy an undisturbed private moment. In order to choose more quality reading time and to fully utilise the public spaces for Macao citizens, the Macao Public Library is extending the opening hours of the different library branches starting from 1st January this year, thus taking a step forward in the area of intelligent reading.
