Revitalization of Old Buildings

Former Judiciary Police Building

The east wing of the Former Judiciary Police Building, located at Rua Central, was built around 1933. The interior of the east wing and the west wing were expanded and renovated several times since the early 1960s, until they took on their present appearance. Located on a street corner, the original façade of the east wing preserves the original decorative moldings, unique balconies and other architectural elements, which can be considered as an architectural representation of Eclecticism, echoing the architectural style of the facade of the adjacent Old Court Building.
