Database of Posters Collection comprises posters collected by the Macao Public Library according to the Legal Deposit Regime and published by government departments, civil associations and institutions, universities and colleges in Macao from 1978 to 2015. The posters cover a wide variety of fields including religion, philosophy, natural science, social science, history, literature and art, containing information related to society and people’s livelihood, education, culture and art events as well as sports and recreational activities. From these posters, readers can observe the similarities and differences in various aspects of the city across different periods, such as social conditions, everyday life, art and design.
Readers can view these posters easily by searching the title, publisher, publication year, event venue, series name, type and keywords. However, it should be noted that all data in Database of Posters Collection is protected by Copyright and the Related Rights Code of Macao and may only be used within the Macao Public Library. The original posters are not available for access or checkout.
Note: The ‘Database of Posters Collection’ can only be used inside the public libraries. Users only need to raise a request to the library staff, who will help to access the database in the library computers.
