Interlibrary Return Service

Can an item borrowed from the Coloane Library be returned at the Sir Robert Ho Tung Library?

Readers can return checked-out items at all branches of the Macao Public Library (except Senado Library) during opening hours. It is also convenient use the Self Check Machines or the 24-hour Book Drops installed at some of the branches. Mind you, the Book Drop can “swallow” only one book at a time, so please insert books one after another.

Can an item borrowed from the Centre of Permanent Education be returned at the Macao Public Library?

Starting from July, items borrowed from the reading rooms of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) can be returned at the service desks of all branches of the Macao Public Library (except Senado Library). Likewise, items borrowed from the Macao Public Library can be returned at the service desks of the two reading rooms in the Centre of Permanent Education and the Lakeside Multi-Purpose Activity Centre under DSEJ. Please check the servicehours of the service desks before you go to one of the above locations to return checked-out items.

Why isn't the Self Check Machine responding when I put in a checked-out item from the Centre of Permanent Education?

Since the software systems used by the Macao Public Library and DSEJ are not compatible, our Self Check machine cannot recognize the items from DSEJ, so please also do not return books from DSEJ to the 24-hour Book Drop.
